TCCCB - Inspirational post - Love Is In The Air

Happy belated Valentines day xx

My love for the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy inspired me to go down the silver tie route for the background. (and the 'Laters Babe') - the tie image I found on line and used an editing programme to make more to the page.

RECIPE
Tie background - Lyra cool light grey, cool silver grey
Skin- Lyra light flesh, med flesh
Hair - Marvy le Plume pale violet, Derwent Persian grey, black
Boots - Derwent Persian grey, black
Gloves - Lyra aquamarine, Fabre Castel bluish turquoise
Basque -  Gelly Roll metalic red, Fabre Castel bluish turquoise

I die cut the wording and coloured with the same pen as her hair.  Tore around the image and used the same pen to highlight the edges.

I used a black Sharpie pen and coloured some white ribbon which I stuck the wording onto.

I hope this inspires you to pop over to The Crafters Cafe Challenge blog and share your projects.

Inspirational Post - TTPH - Share Some Love # 95

Good morning,
Todays inspirational post uses 'Prisoners of Love' from KennyK

Fed up with cards I thought I would make a door hanger with this image..
I love Shades of Grey Trilogy so tried to keep the theme..
If my 16 year old son saw this hanging on the door he would be mortified! lol ;-)

RECIPE
Skin- Lyra light flesh, med flesh
Hair - Lyra black, red, venetian red
Shirt - Lyra light violet dark violet
Heart - Lyra Venetian red, dark carmine, pale geranium lake
Jeans - Lyra Paris blue
Trainers - Lyra delft blue
Basque - warm light grey, warm dark grey, med grey, soft black
Chair - Scarlet, red violet

I found some mottled grey/black and red scraps in my stash so used them to layer this image onto.
Found a door hanger template on line and cut in black card.

Add a couple of feather behind the layers.

I hope this inspires you to pop over and share your projects at Through The Purple Haze blog challenge

TCCCB - Monochromatic challenge

Hi,
Todays inspiration uses Smelling Daisy from Kitty Bee

Feb up with plain square cards I played with the biggest nesting dies I have which I think kind of fits the 'daisiness' of this card ;-)

RECIPE

Daisy - Lyra light chrome, canary yellow, orange yellow
Cow - Lyra warm light grey, med grey, soft black - shading from light to dark then back down to light again

Shadow - Lyra warm silver grey

I used a coordinating paper and used the next size of nestie dies and cut a layer of black then a layer of daisy paper found in my stash.

I found my daisy punch and punched in the coordinating paper and black.

I hope this inspires you to op over to The Crafters Cafe and join in the latest blog challenge.

Kind regards

The Crafters Cafe - blog hop - January Blues Challenge

Good morning,

Today blog is a hop..
Only my 2nd so a novice at setting it up.. hope this goes as it should!
(my friend helped me set up the first one!)

I got the blues - 3 weeks since Santa was here,
2 weeks since we welcomed the New Year.
All the hype and excitement has gone,
are you feeling a bit down?

TCCB is having a blog hop with some great prizes...

My inspirational post for this blog uses a Flapper Girl image from Moonflower
The challenge theme is Male Card.. so to get this wonderful image male orientated I added a bit of a saucy sentiment!

RECIPE
Hair - Lyra dark grey, black hard
Skin - Lyra medium flesh, light flesh
Eyes - Lyra aquamarine
Dress/Hairband - Walnut Hollow Violet
Boa - medium grey

As my craft room is currently out of reach - I had to grab whatever I could find to work with this card.. (wasnt easy)
I found some nuetral backing paper.

Kept the card CAS by just layering up on black card, then doing a dashed outline to look like faux stitching.
I used my new Wink of Stellar clear sparkle to bling the jewels on her headband, necklace and skirt.

I hope this inspires you to pop over to the TCC challenge blog and share your projects.

TTPH dt project - Queen

Happy New Year (as this is my first post of 2016) !

Bad start to the year as I was late posting this to the group - naughty step for me ;(

The theme was anything goes and  I chose to use Queen from Sweet Escape.

I printed her a bit bigger than normal for a change and to let me get some colouring practise.

I am still using my polychromo pencils (might have another play with the Promarkers later in the year)

RECIPE

Skin - Lyra light flesh, medium flesh
Hair - Derwent ochre, pale brown,  Lyra gold ochre
Dress - Derwent pink, Lyra pink madder lake, rose madder lake
Crown - Gold pencil

Having a slightly larger image enabled me to get some colour down and do some blending (doesnt show well in the photo)
I am still struggling with the hair.. but will keep practicing.

I have limited access to my craft room since Christmas as a lot of stuff has been 'dumped' in there!
Currently trying to sort sons bedroom (while he is away) then I can decant 'stuff' and today craft room (bomb site!)

It makes for even more of a challenge!
But I found the pink heart background paper and some cutting dies and background papers (luckily).
So I went for an A5 gate fold card.

I treated myself to a Wink of Stella clear sparkle pen before Christmas and just highlighted the gems in her crown.

I enjoyed colouring her. My biggest challenge was putting the cards together!
I hope you get inspiration from this project and pop over to Through the Purple Haze blog challenge and share your projects.

kind Regards

Theresa

KS Inspiration - Adriannas Owl

My son is mad on owls..
So my challenge was t take this girly owl and make it suitable for either sex...
and being near Christmas of course it had to be a Christmas card !

So here is my Karleigh Sue Adriana Owl - Christmas style

I also wanted to keep it CAS..

I cut her out using a nestie die.

Edged this cut out with a red felt pen
I coloured her using the following polychromo pencils
Bow - lyra light carmine, moss green
Branch - lyra burnt sienna, Faber Castel caput mortuum

Owl - Lyra raw umber, burnt ochre, van dyke brown, gold ochre

The background paper is from my stash.

I had to buy a new Christmas greeting die this year - so made good use of it on red card to match the base card.

I hope this inspires you to join Karleigh Sue challenge and share your projects with us all.

ks inspiration - Cuddie Buddie

Good morning,
todays blog features Karleigh Sue Cuddie Buddie image

I was inspired by her camoflage onesie...

I knew I had some papers in my stash that would work with her. (these are from an old issue of Making Cards)

So I found suitable colours in my blendable pencils and away we went. - recipe below..

Hair - Faber Castell caput mortuum violet
Skin - Lyra light flesh, med flesh
Onesie/Panrs/Shoes - Derwent deep fuschia, lime green, Lyra brown ochre

I picked a random layout from my box and layered each piece up onto craftcard.
Going back in time to use a peel off for the greeting ;-) lol

I hope you find this inspiring and pop over to Karleigh Sues challenge and share your projects.
