KS Inspiration post - Senorita

I wanted to put a different twist on Senorita
So I went with a new year card.. to celebrate with some vivid colour..

Recipe

Skin - Lyra medium flesh, dark flesh
Hair - Lyra burnt ochre, raw umber, dark sepia
Roses - Lyra rose madder lake, Derwent deep fuchsia
Dress - Lyra light green, dark flesh, rose madder lake

I found some backing papers from an old magazine that I liked the colours on so went with those

Cut some spirals from some of the scrap card and rolled 4 flowers.
spiraled 2 thin strips of the pink backing card I used.
Printed the greeting and punched out with a circle punch, mat and layered on same papers

I used a different card fold (learnt the other week at Sir Stamps Alot)
An A4 card folded in 1/2 to make an A5 size portrait card then divide & cut into 3 horizontaly (approx 7cm tall)
Then mount your image onto the front of it so it stands above..
(With some practise you can work out the right sizes to fit the envelopes you have)

I hope this inspires you to get colouring and share your projects on Karleigh Sue Challenge blog

King regards

CCCB - Challenge # 137 - Art By Mirian - Berrylicious

I wanted this fruity little number to be a xmas card
(I am so behind on making this years it is ridiculous!)

I was going to add 3d berries and such to this Art By Mirian Berrylicious digi until I re-read the guidelines for this challenge.. CAS so had a rethink..
This is what I came up with..

I made a 6x6 card from some green 12x12.
trimmed down a 6x6 xmas paper to fit showing a slight edge of the green.
coloured the image with the following pencils

Skin - Lyra light flesh, medium flesh
Hair - Derwent ochre, Lyra cream
Dress - Lyra cream, gold ochre
Berries - Derwent deep red, Lyra India red
Leaves - Lyra moss green, cedar green

Then layered her on the same green card as the base card.
2 red brads/split pins under and to the right of the image.

I love this image and may make a few more

I hope this inspires you to pop over to CCCB challenge and share your projects
We love to see what you do

Kind regards

613 Avenue Create - RAK

Challenge # 149 for 613 Avenue create was to make a RAK card using an Alicia Bell image - Thoughtful Faery

Before I started colouring her I found some papers in my stash and co-ordinating lace.

Recipe

Skin - Lyra light flesh, medium flesh
Hair - Derwent pale brown, lyra cinnamon, burnt ochre
Wings - Lyra zinc yellow, Derwent light green, green
Dress - Derwent light green
Toadstool - lyra cool silver grey, burnt ochre, cinnamon, Derwent Ochre
Grass - Derwent light green, green

I made a yellow A6 card
right hand edges with a wide yellow lace.
Glued on the piece green floral  patterned paper

then attached green lace across top edge of patterned paper and down right edge so it overlays the yellow lace.
I stitch a piece of the yellow lace to make a flower and attached the sentiment in the centre.

I hope this inspires you to pop over to 613 Avenue Create challenge blog and join in. We love to see your creations.

Sadly this is my last project for 613 Avenue Create as there aren't enough hours in the day now I am working again.

They are a lovely bunch and I will still be popping in to play every now and then..
I may even be joining some of you with their challenges...

Kind regards

KS Inspiration post - Lookin for me?

When I saw this image (Lookin for me?) from Karleigh Sue I immediately thought of my 12x12 nordic paper pack.
So on eventually finding it! I coloured her with co-ordinating colours.

Skin - Lyra light flesh, medium flesh
Hair - Lyra raw umber, dark sepia

Hat - Lyra grey green, aquamarine, Derwent ochre (pom pom)
T-shirt/Socks - Lyra grey green, aquamarine
Shorts - Derwent ochre

I cut the banner from 1 of the sheets to match the mat and layers and attached with 3d foam pads
layered each layer on red card to match base card.
