KS - Lady Luck inspirational post

I chose this lovely image (Karleigh Sue's Lady Luck) to make a good luck in your new House card for my neice.

I used my promarkers (before I fell out with them!)

skin - apricot, oatmeal, blush
Hair - tan, cinnamon, cocoa, henna

Clover - meadow green, apple, leaf green, bright green
Horseshoe - warm grey 1, 2, 3, 4
Star - yellow, canary, sunflower
Dress/shoes - tea green, soft green, grey green
Ladybird - lipstick red, berry red, red

I printed my own sentiment and cut it out with a die, layering on coordinating backing papers from my stash.

I also punch 3 circles and emboss with a large ball tool to look like candi.

My niece is all moved in now and hopefully finished decorating..

Please pop over to Karleigh Sue for the latest challenge and share your makes.

Kind regards

613 Avenue Create Sights/Sounds/Taste of summer

My new addiction is book folding!
So for this dt project I used my first ever book fold..

The challenge theme was Sights/Sounds/taste of summer
(I went a bit wrong and went with smell instead of taste!)
Choosing roses - smell, butterflies - sights, and bees for sound

I think she site beautifully on the front cover
- which is some glittered butterfly paper from my stash.

As I printer her on the wrong card stock my pro markers would lay properly so I used my polychromo pencils.

Pop over to 613 challenge blog and join in.
I cant wait to see your projects.

Kind regards

TTPH mid month inspiration

Good morning all.
What a beautiful sunny morning here in the UK..
washing's out and bees a buzzing (just wish they'd stop trying to get in the house!)

I just picked my youngest son up from school after taking his last exam for this year. On the way home we passed a field of grass/poppies - which leads me to share my TTPH inspiration post..

As I have fallen out with my Promarkers I coloured her with my polychromo pencils.
(I didnt make a note of what colours I used so I'm afraid I cant share that bit - sorry!)

But I mat and layered her on green patterned paper, red paper then a floral paper that went with the green (freebies out of a craft magazine) and another red.
Then added a length of red ribbon to bring it all together.

I hope this inspires you to go bright colours too.

613 Avenue Create # 127 Best Friend

My 2nd challenge project for this dt.

Using a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe

Its a t-bag box... but can be used for many other things..
(I have an idea for Christmas using it) - watch this space!

I used papers from Crafty Secrets

This is really out of my norm and involved NO colouring! lol

I blinged it up with some rafia and buttons from my stash.

Kind regards

ks Apple of My Eye inspirational post

Another lovely sunny morning here, and long may it continue ;-)
I'm flying  by to share todays inspirational post from Karleigh Sue - Apple of My Eye, before going to a wedding reception this afternoon.

My inspiration for this cute little lady was my wedding anniversary next month.

I used my promarkers
skin - apricot, otameal, blush
hair - black, ice grey5, ice grey1
dress - denim, pastel blue, cornflower

I have quite a few pots of unused Flowersoft, so decided to try to add that to the hair band.
Found a suitable piece of pre-printed vellum for the background, ribbon scraps and a heart charm.

I hope she inspires you to go and check out Karleigh Sue's etsy page and their challenge blog.

Kind regards

TTPH June challenge - bright colours

I am new to this DT - this is my first project for Through The Purple Haze.
It really was a challenge for me as I had to use an image someone else had picked..

The image is CJ Super Slueth from Lacy Sunshine

I used Pro Markers to colour

skin - blush, oatmeal, apricot
hair -  walnut, burnt orange, orange, amber
magnifer - lipstick red, red, berry red
jacket - pear green, lime green
skirt - lilac, lavender, purple
hat - pastel blue, denim, cornflower, buttercup, tulip yellow, sunflower
sunglasses - aegean, skyblue
shoes - true blue, sky blue, midnight blue
trousers - mandarin, bright orange, orange

I used some papers from my stash for the back ground layers.
The glass in the magnifyer and the sunglasses is enhanced with glossy accents.

I found 3 bright feathers in my stash and made 3 rolled flowers from some scrap papers.
I printed off the greeting, cut with a shaped die and edged with 4 different colours.

This was fun to make.
I hope you enjoy

Kind regards
